ICCRT2026 takes place in mid-August, when the area is normally very hot and humid. Although the campus can be reached on foot, the route includes a long uphill section and Building 19 is further inside the large campus. International participants are strongly advised to take a bus or taxi from Tokaidaigaku-mae Station.

From central Tokyo
For most participants, the simplest railway route is to travel to Shinjuku Station and transfer to the Odakyu Odawara Line. The journey from Shinjuku to Tokaidaigaku-mae usually takes about 60–80 minutes, depending on train type and transfers.

Leave through the South Exit. The following times are approximate and may vary with traffic, waiting time and your exact drop-off point.

About 5 min to campus stops
From the South Exit, use a bus serving either Tokai University Building 1 (東海大学1号館前) or Tokai University North Gate (東海大学北門).
Continue on foot within the campus to Building 19.
Walking
15 min or more to the campus area
The route is uphill, and additional walking is required inside the campus. Use this option only if you are comfortable with the weather and the terrain.
Optional travel experience: Romancecar
Odakyu Limited Express Romancecar
The Romancecar is an all-reserved limited express service from Shinjuku toward destinations such as Hakone and Odawara. It can be a comfortable option for part of the journey or for sightseeing before or after the conference.
It is not the standard route to ICCRT2026. Most services do not stop at Tokaidaigaku-mae. Depending on the train, you may need to transfer to a regular Odakyu train at a suitable station.
Ticket requirement
Two components are required
Passengers need the regular railway fare and a separate limited express ticket with a seat reservation. Check stops and transfers in the latest timetable before purchase.
Using an IC card
A prepaid transportation IC card is convenient for local trains, buses and many everyday purchases. Suica and compatible IC cards can be used on the Odakyu Line and on many local buses.
Physical card
Welcome Suica
Designed for temporary visitors. The physical card is valid for 28 days from the date of purchase and can be purchased at specified JR East locations, including major airports and selected stations.

The iOS app allows eligible users to issue and top up Suica on a compatible Apple Pay device. The mobile Suica is valid for 180 days after issue. Device, age and regional restrictions apply.
